Life Together This Season at Salt House
Hello friends,
It's a busy season here at Salt House! As we approach the end of our fiscal year in June, and prepare for the launch of our new fiscal year in July, there are a lot of important business things happening. Check out the list below to stay in the loop on how to participate in our life together
SUNDAY, MAY 5 at 11:30AM – BUDGET PREVIEW & FORUM // Check out the recording of the Budget Forum on our blog
SUNDAY, JUNE 9 at 11:30AM – SALT HOUSE ANNUAL MEETING // Our annual meeting is our yearly moment to tend to some of our most important business items. This year’s meeting is Sunday, June 9 following worship. Please make plans to attend this meeting either in-person or via Microsoft Teams. More info about this meeting will be available here.
NOMINATIONS // Each year, we engage the congregation in finding volunteer candidates to fill leadership roles. Our Nominations Team has been working hard to gather names and invite folks to consider stepping into leadership. We are still looking for an At-Large Member for council and several folks to step onto next year’s nominations team. Are you interested or know someone who might be interested? Submit your nominations here.
MEMBERSHIP // As a registered non-profit in Washington, an ELCA congregation, and by the guidelines in our constitution, we must have a membership record at Salt House whenever we engage in the business of being a church together. If you’re not a member, you can still participate fully in the life of the Salt House community in all areas except two: only members are able to vote during our Congregation meetings and only members can hold an official position of governance (e.g., Salt House Council).

PLEDGE FOR 2024-25 // Each year leading up to our annual meeting and the beginning of our new fiscal year which starts in July, we ask for a commitment from the community in the form of a PLEDGE. A pledge is simply a statement of intent for what you’re planning to give to Salt House during the next fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025). Submit your pledge by June 9.
GIVING // Salt House is sustained by the generous donations of our community. We want to encourage everyone to become a regular giver to Salt House. To learn more about giving at Salt House visit our giving page.
DOWNLOAD THE CHURCH CENTER APP (iOS and Android) // We know the last thing you need is another app on your phone, but trust me...this one is different. Salt House uses the Planning Center platform for our giving, worship planning, volunteer scheduling, small groups, and more! The Church Center App connects all the dots! It gives you access to your information, your giving and pledge progress, small groups, event sign-ups, payment forms, and soon, our directory of members. And it's free...get it here!
